Monthly News for May 2004

SORRY, we missed 2 months!!

As you can see, we have from this month a different news letter. It is now on high gloss quality and in full colour.

We wanted to give you better quality but the printers cannot print our news letter and to still have it in time for our monthly letter. On the other hand we needed to have a facility that could print it the day before we have to post. The solution is now our own colour printer which you see below.

We are going Strong!

We are already at the beginning of the 5 th month of the year and it feels like yesterday that we celebrated the new year. Since then we have started with the Oshakati and Rundu Projects, Coenie attended the Association of Christian Broadcasters Conference, we completed our OB Truck, and Coenie and Edna were in Germany for the Cebit Show in Hannover to look into the latest technology developments. We also launched a new programme called: “God, Money & You” and

the feedback that we have received so far is probably of the best of all programmes we made so far.

There is however one thing that we can still improve on. That is having more viewers watching TBN. You know, all the growth and expansion is worth nothing if we do not reach more people. God has made this medium available to us and will obviously require accountability from us. The more He entrusts to us, the more we are responsible for.

We can just not embark on a huge marketing campaign spending lots of money, as there is so much more that requires our urgent attention and need more of the available funds. For this reason we appeal this month to you to help us in promoting this FREE TV Channel wherever you are and wherever you go. If you really enjoy TBN, why can you not share this great channel with all your friends, colleagues and family? Put signatures promoting TBN in all your emails, speak about TBN and our programmes constantly, and share this monthly newsletter.

Being in partnership with us, or just watching TBN, we have the freedom to ask you: PLEASE help us share the gospel by purely sharing TBN with others . We declare by faith: TBN will be aired FREE to Air in every town and city in Namibia by the end of 2004!

‘n Gratis CD vir jou!

Ons stuur hierdie maand ‘n vraelys uit aan almal op ons adreslys. Deur dit te voltooi en aan ons terug te besorg kan jy ons help om ons programme so saam te stel dat jy TBN nog meer kan geniet.

Soos almal seker al weet, is dit onmoontlik om alle smake te bevredig, maar ons wil graag vasstel wat ons kykers graag sou wou sien en watter programme is hul meer gunsteling programme. Voltooi die ingeslote vraelys so spoedig moontlik en pos dit aan ons. Indien jy enige gebedsversoek het, voeg dit sommer by.

Vir die eerste 25 vorms wat ons terug ontvang , stuur ons elkeen ‘n pragtige CD as geskenk vir jou hulp om ons te help. Onthou tog net om jou adres op die vorm in te vul as jy graag die CD wil ontvang, anders weet ons nie aan wie ons dit moet stuur nie.

Die vorm is ongelukkig net in Engels. Spasie en drukkostes maak dit ongelukkig nie moontlik om dit ook in Afrikaans uit te gee nie. Ons het dit egter so maklik moontlik gemaak en u hoef nie goed Engels magtig te wees om dit in te vul nie.

Personeel Veranderings

Ons wil net vir Susan Greeff, Coenie se persoonlike assistant, sowel as Justine Haoses, wat ons Windhoek kantoor beman, hartlik welkom heet in die TBN familie. Ons glo julle gaan baie gelukkig by ons wees en dat julle baie vervulling sal ervaar soos julle die plekkies waarin die Here julle geroep het hier by ons volstaan.

Ons het ook nog nie die pos van “Editor” gevul nie, maar intussen gaan Glaudi Kearny en Wendy Viljoen vir Edna met die produksies help. Welkom ook aan Allan Camm wie die pos in “Final Control” aanvaar het.

Programme Changes

PLEASE take that a lot of our programmes have changed in time slots. We believe that this new Programme Schedule will be enjoyed by all of you. We started a new programme: “We talk with…” where Coenie interviews politicians, their wives and famous Namibian personalities. This programme will be broadcasted on Monday evenings at 18h30.

Our Oshivambo programme “Oxungi Kalupale” is back on Tuesday mornings at 08h30.

Keep watching our “Agter die Skerms” (Behind the Scenes) programme that is broadcasted on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 18h30. During this time we keep you up to date with everything that is happening here at TBN as well as in our church community.

We have also made some programme chances on Saturday mornings. We start off with the “Gospel Outreach Invites You” programme at 7h30, followed by a Leadership Programme with Reuben Petrus at 08h00 and then “A Voice in the Desert” by Jimmy & Glaudi Kearney at 08h30.

We have moved the German programme of Derick Prince to 8h30 on Monday mornings.

We switch over earlier to the USA Satellite and you can now enjoy the “Praise the Lord” programme from 22h00 in the evenings instead of the old 24h00.

God, Money and You.

This programme is so popular that we have decided to give a copy to all our Eagle Partners in Video format. As you can imagine, it is not possible for us to give them to every partner due to the high fees payable for these tapes as well as postage and packaging.

For those of you that are not in this category, we will make these videos available once we have completed them and will let you know how to get hold of them.
